Hi, I’m Jonathan. Welcome to my blog. I’m a Site Reliability Engineer based in Berlin, Germany and have been working with Kubernetes and related technologies since around 2015. I started this blog to publish my personal notes and learnings while preparing for the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification.
These days I work mostly in cloud-hosted versions of Kubernetes, particularly AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS). I enjoy trying to understand how things work “under the hood”. I love finding excuses to code and am always looking for ideas to automate menial tasks.
Thanks for visiting. I hope you find the information here helpful.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this one of those AI generated blogs?
No, I do not use AI to generate content. I write content based on my own curiosity, experimentation and keeping my skills up-to-date. Writing an article is a journey for me that can easily take several days. I do a lot of research on topics that are new to me, or to brush up on some details I’ve forgotten about.
Some of this content is already in hundreds of different articles on the internet, why bother?
This is a personal blog I started to write about things I’ve learned. I believe the best way to check if you really understand something is to try to explain it to someone else.
